Can this be considered being a copycat?

Friend is getting her book published. I've been talking to someone I know (not associated with friend) and am probably going to get a book published as well. Well actually more like two books published. Can I be considered a copy cat when I didn't even know she was getting hers published until recently? But I told her when I found out hers was getting published. She is also the friend who got me into writing stories too.
