Where should i move to in or near phoenix?

im thinkin of goin 2 phoenix in the not so far future. im a white single guy, 40 but im a very young 40 which alota people say i look like late 20's -early mid thirtys..im not a big partier but i like to b round or close 2 shopping, coffee shops, malls, walmarts, etc...or be close t public transportation,,, Im commin from Los Angeles wher ive lived for 4 years after livin in Philly for 30 years so im used to livin around a big city and big suburban environment n things 2 do. ,,, since i dont drive i need somwehe thats also close to public transit thats not a ghetto with rent under 500 per month. ive been lookin on craigslist and noticed some seemingly nice apts that is so much less than L.A.. like half of LA rent. So can u help me out.
