How far is the Wells Fargo centre in Philly from downtown Philly?

Cause I've never been there before but we're going next week for a few days and I really want to see the Wells Fargo centre (hopefully buy a jersey or something) but I'd like to book a hotel downtown so we can see the rest of Philly. How far is the centre from downtown Philly or are they close?
