Graphic novel ideas...?

Lately ive been working on my drawing skills and i decided to get into the process of making Graphic Novels. But i cant really put my finger on any specific ideas (that are good). I really loved the Erin Hunter Warrior Manga and the books. I tried making a novel like that series (but with rabbits) but it turned out as a complete replica. i think im getting somewhere with this but i dont want to copy of course. So basically i want it to be somewhat SIMILAR to the Warrior Manga but i need ideas on how to keep it copycat free :) thanks
