Question about living in Philadelphia.?

When your in the city does it have that big city feeling. You feel excited and feel like there's so much going on around you. I'm deciding between moving to the Philly area, NYC, and SoCal. Most of my family is around Philly though so it's a good fit. Can a pharmacist live in a good home in the Philly suburbs or live in a great condo in Center City?
